Original 3D animation
Project Length: 4 months
A 3D animation inspired by my high school animation project. This project focused on showing my progress from high school to current day.
Engines and Programs used:
Fire Alpaca: Concept Art
Autodesk Maya: Modeling, Rigging, Animating
Victory Animation Storyboard
Concept art to model the new version of Glow
New model and rig for Glow
As of this moment, the project is still on going, however I felt I took on this project with some high expectations with my current schedule and time management. I'm currently working on the weight painting and posing of the character, so I'm excited to continue to work on this project.
Project Length: 1 month
A 3D animation inspired by Arcane and League of Legends. It uses a free rigged Jinx model provided by Agora. Someone runs through a city with Jinx chasing after them. Despite this, no one can escape from Jinx; everyone is caught sooner or later.
Engines and Programs used:
Fire Alpaca: Storyboarding
Autodesk Maya: Animation
Unreal Engine: Level Design, Camera Animation,
If I were to redo this project, I would have liked to practice and learn more of how Jinx's rig worked. Her hair gave me the most complications in the process, which prompts me to research different methods of rigging hair and the physics that go into it. It also gave me a good example of my process from storyboard to finalization.
Project Length: 1 month
An animatic based on the Aesop fable, The Frogs Who Wished For A King. A group of frogs call to the skies and ask for a king to rule them. It doesn't pan out as they wish it could.
Programs used:
Fire Alpaca: Storyboarding and Coloring
Wondershare Filmora: Video Editing
This project was a great example of figuring out my process of storyboarding. I really enjoyed taking an existing story and making an animatic/storyboard from it. Due to the constraints given, if I were to return to this project, I would flesh out other sections of the story and add small bits of animation in between frames.
